Disclosed is a multimedia content processing device for one or more types of multimedia content, which identifies the types of identification information in a storage unit which stores identification information, and the types of multimedia content received from applications which reference different types of identification information. The media processing apparatus comprises a media identification unit which summons a specified API (Application Programming Interface) depending on type of media content, and at least one API to handle the summoned multimedia content.
