DUAL PURPOSE BOARD

The invention relates to dual purpose boards for domestic or professional use. Boards can serve a number of purposes in the kitchen or on the dining table, and the object of the invention is to provide a board able to serve the purpose of a chopping board and as a support for hot items. This objection is met by a construction comprising a first surface of a strength and/or character to suit its intended use and there being on a second surface of the board a heat resistant support member, whereby in a first disposition of the board the support member serves to hold the board against movement, and in a second, reversed disposition of the board the support member serves as a support for hot items place on the board.
