PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of recovering the performance of a fuel cell which has been deteriorated by carbonate ions.SOLUTION: The fuel cell system (5) includes a fuel cell (10) having an electrolyte film (11) with anion conductivity, a first catalyst layer (12) and a second catalyst layer (13) for sandwiching the electrolyte film for generating power with fuel gas supplied to the first catalyst layer and oxidant gas supplied to the second catalyst layer, and potential raising means (70a, 70b, and 100) for raising the potential of the first catalyst layer at a level or higher where a chemical reaction for generating a carbon dioxide by making carbonate ions react with hydrogen can be advanced. |
