PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly increase the rotation speed of a power source to the rotation speed of the input shaft of an automatic transmission after down shift and inhibit increase in time taken for the difference between the rotation speeds of the power source and the input shaft to be once increased and decreased to a value at the time when the automatic transmission is not shifted, when a step variable transmission is down shifted as a predetermined major driving force is requested.SOLUTION: In a lock-up clutch device whose hydraulic circuit is controlled so that a slip speed (Ne-Nin) is a target slip speed Ns*, a predetermined value Ns1 is set to the target slip speed Ns* before an engine rotation speed Ne exceeds an input shaft rotation speed Nin* after down shift (S100 to S130) and the target slip speed Ns* is set so as to be reduced as time goes on to a target slip speed Nsst* at the time of non-shift after the rotation speed Ne exceeds the rotation speed Nin* (S140 to S210), at kick down. |
