PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase efficiency in an applying step of applying a lubricant onto a sliding portion between a cylindrical rotatable member and a supporting member.SOLUTION: A lubricant supplying method for supplying a lubricant to a sliding portion between a sleeve cylinder 41 provided in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus A and a supporting member 47 for supporting the inner circumferential surface of one end side of the sleeve cylinder 41 in its axial direction so that it is freely slidable in the circumferential direction. In the method, the supporting member 47 includes a hollow portion 47e and an opening 47c that is open from the hollow portion 47e to the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve cylinder 41, the method supplies lubricant from the hollow portion 47e to the sliding portion through the opening 47c. |
