PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unprecedented electrochemical capacitor having high output characteristics.SOLUTION: In the electrochemical capacitor, an electrode containing carbon, where lithium titanate nanoparticles including oxygen vacancies and doped with nitrogen are highly dispersed and carried, is used for a negative electrode, a polarizable electrode is used for a positive electrode, and an electrolyte including lithium salt and quaternary ammonium salt is used. In the electrochemical capacitor, an oxygen vacancy unit becomes an adsorbing and desorbing unit of lithium, further doping nitrogen increases electric conductivity, output characteristics are improved, and mixing quaternary ammonium salt to lithium salt changes solvation structure to increase a diffusion speed of lithium ions, thereby possibly further improving output characteristics, and hence achieving the electrochemical capacitor having unprecedented high output characteristics. |
