PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire retainer for orthodontics, binding teeth in a wide range to surely secure the condition of teeth after the end of orthodontic treatment, not causing sinking and inconspicuous when being applied.SOLUTION: This wire retainer for maintaining dentition is applied to the dentition 10 to maintain the dentition 10. The wire retainer includes: a retainer body 2 having a back corresponding part 11, a surface corresponding part 12 and a connecting part 13 connecting the surface corresponding part 12 and the back corresponding part 11 to be wound round a third molar 52 at the deepest part; and a preventive material 17 extended from the retainer body 2 and locked on an occlusal surface of the third molar 52 at the deepest side of the dentition 10 from the surface side to prevent sinking of the retainer body 2, and prevent the surface corresponding part 12 of the retainer body 2 from moving to the gingival part side. The back corresponding part 11 and the connecting part 13 of the retainer body 2 and the preventive material 17 are wire materials having a circular section. The surface corresponding part 12 is formed of colorless and transparent plastic material, and the end parts of the connecting part 13 are connected to both end parts of the surface corresponding part 12 in the buried state. |
