PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a road section which is a subject of a traffic jam or road regulation from road traffic information in a text format and distribute that road section by displaying on a map image.SOLUTION: The traffic information processor includes: a road network DB133 for storing road network information describing road position information, names of locations on a road and connection relationship with other roads for respective roads which are subjects of map display; subject section information extractor 123 for extracting starting point information and finishing point information in the subject section for the traffic information from the text information describing the road traffic information; and a section position information generator 124 for generating the position information for the road section indicating the road position of the section which is held between the starting position and the finishing position on the road corresponding to the starting point information and the finishing point information for the subject section by referring to the road network information.
