PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sail capable of protecting the sail by completely beautifully finishing furling such as in anchorage, without requiring to replace a jib sail used in a cross wind and a head wind with a spin sail being a sail in a tail wind.SOLUTION: This sail hoisted in a front part of a yacht is formed as a bilaterally asymmetric rhombic sail of reducing right-left two sheets of a conventional jib sail to one sheet. In the tail wind, sailing is made by laterally unfurling the sail, and when becoming the cross wind or the head wind when the wind direction changes since a ship veers, the sail naturally overlaps with either the right or left and becomes a similar form to the conventional jib sail. When becoming the tail wind again, the sail naturally unfurls to the right and left and becomes a similar form to the spin sail. The sailing can be easily and stably made by the same sail in a strong wind of the cross wind, the head wind or the tail wind by reducing the sail by furling by a furler 10. The sail can be protected by beautifully overlapping when finishing furling by the furler in the anchorage due to a bilaterally asymmetric rhombic shape. |
