PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a filament nonwoven fabric having a uniform weight per unit area in the width direction by needle-punching in a general condition.SOLUTION: The method for producing the filament nonwoven fabric includes (1) a step for forming a filament web by drawing and thinning spun ultrafine fiber-forming type filaments by air jet, and collecting the resultant filaments on a collecting face moving in the longitudinal direction, (2) a step for forming a fused web having (a) 0.5-3.0 kg of a yield strength and <0.5 kg of the strength at 100% elongation of the fused web when the fused web is transformed in the longitudinal direction at a rate of 200 mm/min, and (b) 0.2-0.6 kg of a yield strength and <0.7 kg of the strength at 100% elongation of the fused web when the fused web is transformed in the cross direction at a rate of 200 mm/min, by fusing the ultrafine fiber-forming type filaments by subjecting the filament web to heating and pressurizing treatment, (3) a step for forming a laminated web of at least two layers of the fused web, and (4) a step for obtaining the filament nonwoven fabric by subjecting the laminated web to needle-punching treatment to interlace the ultrafine fiber-forming type filaments to provide the filament nonwoven fabric. |
