PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a receiving side device to easily detect the start or end of the reception of data corresponding to each pixel string relating to image data.SOLUTION: An image data storing part stores, about each pixel subjected to matrix arrangement, image data subjected to quantization processing in which a density value is quantized to four values and is added to a density value of peripheral pixels such that an error caused by quantization is distributed to the peripheral pixels of the pixel. A dummy data block creating and adding part creates a dummy block group 61a in which dummy data blocks 62 of a quantization density value of an intermediate dropped ink and dummy data blocks 62 of quantization density value of 0 are arranged so as to be alternately repeated by eight times, and adds the dummy data block group 61a just before the first data block about a transmission order about each of pixel strings relating to the image data. |
