摘要 <p>The present invention is based on an efficient plant growth regulator for flowering in crop plants, vegetable plants, spices plants, flower and gardening plants thereof. The compound has been found to be extremely effective in increasing the quality and yield through the foliar application to flowering plant like chili and tomato at flowering stage, application to other crop has a similar effect as well. On a comparative check for the effect through the foliar application to flowering plant like chili and tomato at flowering stage of b-sitosterole at 1000 ppm in DM water, against natural hormone brassinolide at 0.1 ppm, NAA at 10ppm, IAA at 10ppm, GA3 at 500 ppm, Kinetin at 500ppm. The compound b-sitosterole was found to be much more potent and effective in comparison to the auxins. The same quantification was also used for drenching the crop which gives more potent effect compare to auxin IBA at 100 ppm. Also b-sitosterole is a plant growth regulator and not plant hormone and thereby it can used in a broad range of concentration varying from 1000ppm to 10,000ppm, and is found to be non toxic to the plant physiology. The compound is very safe and can handle very easily during the application for the foliar application. Another significant advantage of the compound is its relatively low cost and thus positive impact on the agricultural economics.</p>
