PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alumina sintered compact which has a low dielectric loss tangent and high strength.SOLUTION: The alumina sintered compact in which a dielectric dissipation factor in 1-10 MHz is at most 10×10, and three-point bending strength is at least 400 MPas, and which includes 0.08-0.8 mass% of SiOis characterized by not including a cordierite phase substantially. In a crystal degree of orientation O: I/(I+I) computed by XRD peak intensity, a difference between a crystal degree of orientation O1 of a surface 41 perpendicular to an impression direction of a slip casting and a crystal degree of orientation O2 of a surface 42 parallel to an impression direction of a slip casting: O2-O1 is 0.12-0.18. |
