PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transforming thermophilic microorganisms, having a high transforming efficiency.SOLUTION: This method for transforming the thermophilic microorganisms comprises a process of preparing a methylated DNA by a DNA-methylase originated from the thermophilic microorganisms or an enzyme having the same activity to that, and a process of introducing the methylated DNA into the thermophilic microorganisms. The enzyme is present in the host of different species from the thermophilic microorganisms and the DNA-methylase other than the enzyme is not present in the host. |
