PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shield member provided at an opening of a charge device from interfering with a photosensitive member when the photosensitive member is driven.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes: the photosensitive drum 31; a drum driving motor 91 configured to drive the photosensitive drum; the charge device 51 having the opening 51a arranged to be opposed to a surface of the photosensitive drum and configured to charge the surface of the photosensitive drum by discharge; the shield member 80 movable between a closed position CP for closing the opening of the charge device and an open position OP for opening the opening thereof; a shield member driving motor 85 configured to move the shield member between the closed position and the open position; and a CPU 86 configured to control the drum driving motor to drive the photosensitive drum when determining that the shield member is situated at the open position. |
