PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically notify the portable terminals of users that the respective users of individuals or groups preliminarily registered into a system reach preliminarily and individually set range.SOLUTION: The system detects the approach of the mobile portable terminals to give the notification about the approach, has an approach detection and notification server which automatically obtains position information of the users by efficiently using a method for specifying a terminal position range, which is performed in a cellular phone company, etc., transmits the position information of the users to the server according to a position search or position notification request to register the position information into the server. When an approach search request is received from the users, distance is calculated from the position information of terminals of registrants, it is determined whether the obtained distance matches notification conditions, when the distance matches the notification conditions as a result of determination, the mobile portable terminal of the user or a fixed terminal of the user are notified of information showing that the users are near to each other. |
