PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control device for a vehicle, preventing restart of a driving device unintended by a user and suitably controlling start and stop of the driving device of the vehicle.SOLUTION: The start control device for the vehicle includes: an input device receiving input operation from the user; a start operation determinator determining whether or not the input device receives start operation for starting the driving device; an emergency stop operation determinator determining whether or not the input device receives emergency stop operation for bringing the driving device to an emergency stop; a driving device controller starting the driving device when the input device is determined to receive the start operation for starting the driving device, and stopping the driving device when the input device is determined to receive the emergency stop operation for bringing the driving device to an emergency stop; and a start prohibition mechanism prohibiting starting of the driving device by the driving device controller until a predetermined condition is met when the input device is determined to receive the emergency stop operation.
