FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a processor-controlled device and its operation method. The device can operate in a plurality of reduced modes which are selectable. For operation in a selected reduced mode, part of data required for start-up in the reduced mode is identified and copied from a first storage apparatus to a second storage apparatus, wherein the copied data depend on the selected reduced mode.
