<p>Methods and apparatus provide a mechanism for registering and attaching a user equipment (UE) to a device-to-device (D2D) discovery function for D2D communication. After identifying (S 10) the identification information of at least one public land mobile network (PLMN-id) assigned for a D2D discovery and communication (transmitted from an eNodeB within the system information block, SIB1), a request for registering and attaching the UE to the D2D discovery function at the identified PLNM is sent (S11) to the network. The network sends (S12) a grant for the D2D discovery together with an indication corresponding to the identity of the at least one PLMN used for communicating resources dedicated to the D2D discovery and communication.</p> |
