Disclosed is a wireless compact computer keyboard 10 for easy holding and operating by hand. The keyboard has a wireless signal transmitter 16 in the front portion 15, and the two lateral sides 17, 18 are curved downward to form two hand holding portions. On the top surface an ordinary computer keyboard 19 is laid out, such that it is reached by the user's thumbs. Special keys 19a are provided, which could switch the definitions of some keys, and allow for the configuration of key combinations to perform specific control functions. A mousing touch pad is provided on the bottom surface, where the index or middle fingers can touch, for controlling the cursor. The keyboard may have function keys 21a—22c along the front edge. The touch pad may be operable without turning the keyboard over.
