PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide poxvirus particles that are very useful in treatment for gene therapy, particularly in prophylaxis and therapy for mammalian cancers. SOLUTION: The objective poxvirus particles have the targeted infection specificity that is given by a heteroligand part that specifically recognizes and binds to the antiligand molecule locating itself on the surface of the target cells on the poxvirus particle surfaces. Further, this invention provide a vector including the nucleotide sequence encoding the chimera polypeptide including the heteroligand part and all of or a part of the surface polypeptides on the natural type poxvirus particles. In addition, this invention relates to a composition including these poxvirus particles or this vector. |
