<p>The invention relates to a method for modifying metal melts using additives. In order to create a novel method for modifying metal melts wherein discharge of the additives is prevented, the invention proposes that particles, fibers, or hollow spheres are added to the metal melt, and are provided with a metal coating prior to adding to the metal melt, wherein the melting point of the metal coating is above that of the metal melt. A method is created by the invention, by means of which the properties of the metal melt, and thus that of the resulting metal, can be changed.</p> |
