Process for making a detergent

A process for the production of a spray-dried detergent powder comprising a hexagonal-phase-in-water-forming surfactant the process comprising the steps of:
(i) spraying into a spray-drying tower a detergent slurry preferably free of a hexagonal-phase-in-water-forming surfactant; and
(ii) simultaneously spraying a paste comprising a hexagonal-phase-in-water-forming surfactant, whereby droplets of the slurry encounter droplets or powder of the hexagonal-phase-in-water-forming surfactant paste so as to form composite granules.
