PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article classification device for classifying articles into multiple kinds in a saved space and also obtaining excellent mobile efficiency.SOLUTION: A stocker 5 constituting the article classification device 2 includes: first to fifth slide plates 21A-21E where a plurality of classification trays 4 are placed by alignment; and a drive mechanism 22 for vertically holding a plurality of stages of slide plates and also reciprocatively moving the respective slide plates in a horizontal direction. An empty tray supply means 7 is arranged at a position adjacent to the stocker. When a first transfer means 6 transfers an LED element 1 to the corresponding classification tray according to a rank, the stocker moves the slide plate so as to expose the classification tray corresponding to the article. When the predetermined number of articles are stored in the desired classification tray, the first transfer means superimposes the empty classification tray held by the empty tray supply means on the classification tray where the predetermined number of articles are stored. |
