<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive control apparatus capable of surely protecting a current driving element while continuing electrification to a load even when the temperature of the current driving element is abnormal. <P>SOLUTION: Whether or not it is a temperature abnormality state where the temperature of a transistor that is the current driving element is excessively high is determined (S101) and when it is not the temperature abnormality state (S101:No), PWM control is performed on the transistor. Furthermore, if it is the temperature abnormality state (S101:Yes) and the transistor is under the PWM control (S102:Yes), the transistor is controlled into full ON fixed state (S103). If it is the temperature abnormality state and the transistor is not under the PWM control (S102:No), a duty ratio or switching frequency of a control signal for controlling the transistor is set to a low value, thereby performing low loss control on the transistor to reduce a switching loss less than a case where the transistor is brought into the full ON fixed state (S104). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
