<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell capable of manufacturing at low cost and having an electrode easy to enlarge an effective area. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode 1 is produced by forming a conductive layer 3 containing platinum particles containing nano-platinum particle as the main component and a conductive binder containing a conductive polymer such as poly(3,4-ethylenedioxithiophene) binding the platinum particles on a substrate 2, and forming gaps communicating with the surface 3a of the conductive layer 3 between the platinum particles.
