<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in the number of parts and to restrain the occurrence of abnormal noises due to vibrations in a slide drive unit. <P>SOLUTION: In this slide drive unit, an opposed surface 47a opposed to the other surface of a base plate in a drum case 47 is divided into a first area 47h and a second area 47i by a cable insertion section 47c. In the first area 47h, a drum storage section 47b and a fixing means are arranged, and at least a part of the first area 47h abuts on the other surface of the base plate.
