An air bag device 10 for pedestrian is provided with a base plate 20 extending along an A-pillar 2 of a car body 1 in a fore-and-aft direction of the car body, a folded body of an air bag 30 arranged along the base plate 20, a cover 40 covering the folded body of the air bag 30, an inflator 60 connected to a front end of the air bag 30 and the like. The cover 40 also works as a molding covering an intersection corner portion between the A-pillar 2 and a wind shield 4. In the air bag device 10 for pedestrian, the cover 40 is arranged at the intersection corner portion between the A-pillar 2 and the wind shield 4, an anchor portion 21 on a rear end side of the base plate 20 is fixed to a roof side rail 3 of the car body 1, and the inflator 60 fixed to the front end side of the base plate 20 is fixed to a hood ridge 5 of the car body 1. |
