The invention provides for a locking device for an inlet of a container, wherein the inlet is a hatch and includes an aperture defined by the container and a cover, said locking device including, a first member being releasably attachable to the cover of the hatch; a second member being releasably attachable to the first member and shaped and dimensioned to releasably engage at least a part of the container and/or the hatch thereby facilitating the attachment of the locking device to the container; an attachment means for releasably attaching the first member to the second member; securing means for securing the first member relative the second member, and wherein the first member and the second member, when engaging the hatch and container, assist in deterring the displacement of the cover relative the aperture thereby assisting in minimizing the unauthorised entry of the container. The invention also provides for a locking device for the outlet of the container, wherein the outlet includes an aperture defined by the container, a cover and an opening mechanism for opening and closing the cover, said locking device including, an abutment means abutting at least a part of the container and/or the opening mechanism when in a locked position; a brace that is shaped and dimensioned to engage at least a part of the opening mechanism of the outlet of the container; a securing means, securing the brace relative the container; and wherein the brace and the abutment means, when engaging the opening mechanism of the container, assist in deterring the unauthorised opening of the outlet of the container. |
