摘要 A method for use of low-intensity laser radiation at 635 nm for increasing sensitivity of Staphylococcus aureus inoculated from the wounds to Tetracycline comprises the irradiation of the culture of Staphylococcus aureus with continuous flow of low-intensity laser in the red range. The standard suspension of bacteria in log-phase of the growth is irradiated in meat-peptone broth at the output of 15 mW and exposition of 180, 360 and 600 seconds followed by replating the culture on the solid medium in Petri dishes. The antibiotic-containing membrane disks are placed, and the cultures are incubated in thermostat at the temperature of 37 °C for 24 hours. The areas of growth inhibition are measured with the caliper, and results are compared with those in control (without laser irradiation). The increase of the sensitivity of Staphylococcus aureus is most pronounced when exposure is 180 seconds corresponding to the dose of 2.7 J.
