PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF DOUBLE LITHIUM-IRON (III) TETRAMETAPHOSPHATE

A process for the preparation of double lithium-iron tetrametaphosphate comprises the use of a melt of mechanical mixture of polycrystalline substances. The mechanical mixture of LiPOand NHHPOin appropriate mole ratio is grounded in agate mortar to homogeneous state. The produced mechanical mixture is calcined in a platinum crucible for 1 hour at certain temperature. The melt is saturated at stirring with lithium fluoride and kept at certain temperature for 1 hour. After that the melt is saturated with iron oxide, kept for 2 hours at ceratin temperature, stirred and crystallized by temperature decreasing. The produced single crystals of double lithium-iron tetrametaphosphate of lilac color are washed and dried at room temperature.
