PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a blood pressure using a target control value that includes the effect of deformation of living tissue by using a volume compensation method.SOLUTION: The values of arterial volume signals detected by a volume detection unit when a cuff pressure matches the diastolic blood pressure and the systolic blood pressure calculated by a predetermined method are respectively determined to be the value at the diastolic blood pressure and the value at the systolic blood pressure. The rise points where an increase begins and the fall points where a decrease begins of the volume represented by the arterial volume signal detected by the volume detection unit are detected. During the rising time from the time of detecting a rise point to the time of detecting a fall point, a predetermined target control value is changed from the determined value at the diastolic blood pressure to the vicinity of the value at the systolic blood pressure. Meanwhile, during the falling time from the time of detecting a fall point to the time of detecting a rise point, the predetermined target control value is changed from the determined value at the systolic blood pressure to the vicinity of the value at the diastolic blood pressure (steps ST31-ST35). |
