PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that prevents banding due to landing interference.SOLUTION: An image forming device has: a droplet discharge head that discharges droplets to a recording medium to form dots of multiple diameters: and a control means that, on the basis of image data that indicates a tone value of each pixel in an image to be formed on the recording medium, controls sizes of droplets discharged from the droplet discharge head, such that when the tone value is within a predetermined tone range, first dots whose diameter is greater than a predetermined diameter are formed at a recording rate that satisfies a predetermined formula, and second dots whose diameter is smaller than or equal to the predetermined diameter, are formed between the first dots at a recording rate corresponding to the tone value. |
