PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generally obtain a device and a method that are conducive to a surface adjustment of an implantable medical device.SOLUTION: For a vascular graft, the device is used for enhancing endothelial cell seeding by providing recesses in an inner luminal surface that can receive endothelial cells. When the device is constructed of a material such as expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), the recesses may be created by physical processing of the microstructures of the material. The physical processing lifts nodes from the surface, forming the recesses that can receive the endothelial cells. |
