PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing metal ultrafine powder using high-temperature reductive flame, the method providing metal ultrafine powder having a sharp particle size distribution by controlling the particle size distribution according to a method other than classification.SOLUTION: The method of producing metal ultrafine powder includes a step of forming the reductive flame by using oxygen or oxygen-enriched air as combustion enriching gas and a step of blowing powdery metal or metallic compound into the flame to heat, vaporize and reduce the powdery metal or metallic compound, wherein the particle size distribution of the produced metal ultrafine powder is sharpened by suppressing a circulation flow formed in a furnace. |
