摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a charged particle acceleration function to a deflection electromagnet to significantly reduce the number of acceleration equipment used in a circular particle accelerator or the like, thus enabling the reduction of a price and size of the circular particle accelerator or the like.SOLUTION: A first exciting coil 16 for a deflected magnetic field and a second exciting coil 17 for a deflected magnetic field are excited by a deflection exciting current to generate a deflection magnetic force line 20 in a gap 14 of a magnetic material 15 so that charged particles passing through a vacuum hollow pipe 10 placed in the gap 14 of the magnetic material 15 are deflected. At the same time, an acceleration exciting coil 22 is excited by an acceleration exciting current to generate an acceleration magnetic force line 23 in the magnetic material 15. The acceleration magnetic force line 23 generates an induced voltage Va between both ends of the magnetic material 15 so that the charged particles passing through a vacuum hollow pipe 4 placed in the gap 14 of the magnetic material 15 are accelerated by the induced voltage Va.
