PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR CALCULATING DISTANCES BETWEEN WIRELESS NODES

The invention relates to a process for determining the RTT between a node to be positioned and a reference node, that includes: providing a software timestamp layer on top of the physical layer, and using it to assign and record timestamps to inputs and outputs of data frames received and to be sent by the node to be positioned; processing, by means of a software link layer, the data frames received and to be sent by the latter; and providing a software association layer on top of said software link layer, and using said layer to access the timestamps recorded and the data frames of data received and to be sent, and associating same with each other. The system includes a wireless node to be positioned, configured to implement the method proposed by the process.
