Device for remote control of an electrical apparatus comprising at least: a plurality of control members (30), each being tied to at least one function of the apparatus; a control system (40) able to generate at least one control signal representative of one of said functions tied to one of the control members (30) and able to transmit it either via a wire or wireless link (radio, infrared etc.); and at least one mechanically actuated generator (5) able to provide electrical energy when it is subjected to a mechanical stress. The device furthermore comprises transfer means for transferring the mechanical energy arising from the actuation of any one of the control members (30) to said generator (5), so that the effect of the actuation of any one of the control members (30) is: the production of electrical energy by the generator (5) intended for electrically powering the control system (40); and the powering of the control system (40).
