PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delay excess estimation method or the like for determining the necessity of measuring a delay time by actually transmitting and receiving a message to/from a target peer node in an overlay network.SOLUTION: In order to determine whether or not the delay time in the target peer node becomes equal to or longer than a stipulated time when viewed from the present peer node, a distance which is a difference between the identification value target of the target peer node and the identification value own of the present peer node is calculated first. Then, the number eHop of hops indicating the estimated number of relay terminals is set to an initial value, and a multiplier variable i is set to a predetermined maximum value imax. Then, when the distance becomes equal to or longer than the i-th power of 2, the operation of increasing the number eHop of hops by one, the operation of subtracting the i-th power of 2 from the distance and the operation of reducing the multiplier variable i by 1 are repeated until the distance becomes shorter than a threshold distance interval. The target peer node for which the finally obtained number eHop of the hops is larger than the threshold number of hops is selected as a registration candidate to a delay excess list. |
