FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: in order to obtain metatitanic acid, titanium dioxide reacts with lithium nitrate in aqueous solution. The reaction is carried out in the presence of citric and nitric acid, followed by three-step annealing of the obtained lithium titanate at temperature 280-300C, 400-420C and 470-490C, respectively. Treatment with acetic acid is carried out and the product is filtered, washed with distilled water and dried.
