PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device of an in-plane switching mode, which solves such problems as line-delay phenomenon, reduction of numerical aperture, and deterioration of image quality due to the variation of switching elements, by forming an electrode which forms a lateral electric field by receiving data voltage from an adjacent data line at every unit pixel, without having common electrodes.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with: unit pixels 430 defined by a plurality of gate lines 401 and a plurality of data lines 402a and 402b vertically intersecting the plurality of gate lines 401; a pair of switching elements 410 and 420 formed in the crossing region of the gate line 401 and the data line 402a and 402b at every unit pixel 430; and electrodes 404 and 405 connected to the pair of switching elements 410 and 420 respectively. |
