Provided is a spring wherein a smaller dynamic spring constant in the vibration direction and a longer effective stroke length can be easily set, even in a low load range. A plate spring (1) comprises a plate spring section (10), which has a plate shape and which corresponds to a main body section (210) of a spring (200) of a comparative example shown in Fig. 16, and vertical plate sections (11 and 12), which have a plate shape and which correspond to cylindrical sections (211 and 212) of the spring (200) of the comparative example. When the width (length of the width direction, which is perpendicular to the extension direction) of the plate spring section (10) is changed in the plate spring (1) wherein the same plate thickness and materials have been set, only the generated load changes while in a state wherein the amount of deflection (effective stroke length) is kept substantially constant. In concrete terms, the generated load reduces if the width of the plate spring section (10) is reduced while the effective stroke length is kept substantially constant.
