PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte sheet with an excellent sealing property preventing leak of fuel gas and/or oxidizer gas in a peripheral edge area, capable of strongly joining with an electrode or the like in high adhesion in areas other than the peripheral edge area, and capable of stably exhibiting excellent performance without causing deterioration of power generation characteristics due to separation or the like, and to establish a technology of efficiently manufacturing such a high-performance electrolyte sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet surface roughness (Ra) of a peripheral edge area of at least one of the surfaces of the electrolyte sheet of the solid oxide fuel battery is different from that of areas other than the peripheral edge area, and a surface roughness of the peripheral edge area obtained by measuring the sheet by the laser optical non-contact three-dimensional shape measurement device is to be more than 3.0 μm and not more than 10 μm, while a surface roughness in the areas other than the peripheral edge area is to be 0.3 μm or more and 3.0 μm or less. The manufacturing method is for surely obtaining such a nature of sheet. |
