PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of easily specifying a character string to be enciphered while securing high security.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is composed of an image input unit for inputting an original image attached with a region specifying mark having a chromatic color to a part of an achromatic-color image containing the character string, a color determination unit determining the color of the region specifying mark, and an encipherment-region discrimination unit discriminating an encipherment region on the basis of the position of the region specifying mark in the original image. The image processing apparatus is further composed of an encipherment unit enciphering the character string in the encipherment region on the basis of the result of determination by the color determination unit, and an image output unit outputting an achromatic image enciphering the character string in the encipherment region. |
