PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device capable of detecting a distance and a position to a detection object.SOLUTION: While projecting detection light from a light projecting element LE(s, t), a light receiving element RE(s, t), a light receiving element RE(s, t+1), a light receiving element RE(s, t+2) and a light receiving element RE(s, t+3) are operated successively. For example, while projecting the detection light from the light projecting element LE(s, t), if reflected light is received by the light receiving element RE(s, t+3), it is determined that an object exists near a position c4, because it is supposed that the detection light projected from the light projecting element LE(s, t) toward a projection direction 11 is reflected by the object exists near the position c4, and that the reflected light travels toward a light receiving direction r4 and received by the light receiving element RE(s, t+3). |
