PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate putting-in/out of baggage by opening a rear portion of a rear baggage compartment over a wide range with a simple constitution, when performing an opening operation of a back door.SOLUTION: This tonneau cover device includes a rear opening portion 1 formed at a rear portion of a vehicle body, the back door 3 to cover the rear opening portion 1 to be opened and closed, and the rear baggage compartment 5 formed in front of the rear opening portion 1. A tonneau board 7 is installed to substantially horizontally extend over an upper portion of the rear baggage compartment 5. The tonneau board 7 includes a front portion board 10 and a rear portion board 11 located in a vehicle longitudinal direction. A rear end portion of the front portion board 10 and a front end portion of the rear portion board 11 are connected to be bendable by a hinge portion 13. The tonneau board 7 includes a rise driving means for driving the rear portion board 11 so that a rear end portion may rise from a substantially horizontally initial state according to the opening operation of the back door 3, and a frontward movement driving means for driving the rear end portion of the front portion board 10 to move to the front of an initial position. |
