PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction apparatus which allows a user to instantaneously replay a video image or the like desired to watch, allows the user to start viewing from continuation of an original reproduction video image even after finishing viewing of replay, and further allows the user to appropriately adjust a reproduction speed for replay.SOLUTION: The reproduction apparatus stores, as a first position, a reproduction position of video data at a time point when predetermined input is performed by an input unit during reproduction of the video data. When performing reproduction from a second position returned from the first position for a predetermined time to the first position after detecting the second position, a speed of reproduction from the second position to the first position is adjusted to become lower than a reproduction speed prior to performing the predetermined input by the input unit. After the end of reproduction from the second position to the first position, the reproduction speed of the video data is made equal to the reproduction speed prior to performing the predetermined input by the input unit. |
