PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing surplus pile which requires no cleaning water thereby requiring no water removing/drying step and effectively removes the surplus pile, and to provide an apparatus for removing the surplus pile.SOLUTION: The method of removing surplus pile includes: a workpiece fixing step of fixing a workpiece as a flocked product including the surplus pile; a vibrating member abutting step of abutting a vibrating member vibrating by ultrasonic wave on the surface of the workpiece; and a surplus pile suction step of sucking the surplus pile fallen from the workpiece by sucking the outside air from below the workpiece while the vibrating member vibrating by the ultrasonic wave is brought into contact with the surface of the workpiece in the vibrating member abutting step. |
