A household cooking appliance comprises a built-in cooking hob (2) having heating means (6) and a stationary supporting structure (3), provided for being at least partially built-in in an opening of a worktop ( 1 ) of a kitchen or the like. Mounted on the stationary structure (3) is a first movable structure (5), which supports first heating means (10) and is designed to assume a lowered position and a raised position with respect to the stationary structure (3). In the lowered position a top face (7) of the first movable structure (3) is substantially flush with respect to a top edge (4) of the stationary structure (3) or to the worktop (1 ), and in the raised position the top face (7) of the first movable structure (5) substantially projects with respect to the aforesaid top edge (4) or to the worktop ( 1 ). Associated to the stationary structure (3) are actuator means, which can be controlled for causing a displacement in a substantially vertical direction of the first movable structure (5) between the lowered position and the raised position.
