In a frame in which a gradation transition is generated, an image generation device (control unit) (9) sets the length of at least one among an LED off-period, in the first half of the frame, or an LED on-period, in the second half of the frame, on the basis of time information from a time information generation unit (26), and outputs a command signal to a light source drive unit (14) in accordance with the LED on-period or LED-off period so as to drive the LED.</p> |
